    Great value for money Japanese knives. They cut well, stay sharp for a decent length of time, and have a good balance to them. Just feels very good in the hand with just enough heft.

    Para comenzar a conocer cuchillos japoneses no esta mal.Acero inoxidable, con lo que no hay que preocuparse mucho.Si se decide continuar comprando otros de ese estilo (es imposible no hacerlo), mejor saltárselo y ahorrar por los futuros.

    They all came extremely sharp right out of the box and were able to cut paper. Used one today to cut veggies, and it felt like a hot knife through butter. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

    Purchased some Tojiro DP knives to use in our busy restaurant kitchen. Like most Japanese chef knives, gyutos, or whatever you want to call them, these knives are made of a much harder steel composition, with an HRC of 60. So, these knives will chip if you drop them on the tip or try to cut through bone. These are all things you shouldn't do with Japanese knives. They are made for slicing vegetables, meat, fish, and boning meat if you are careful. At the end of the day, you can do what you want, but don't give the seller a bad review because it chipped due to misuse. The harder the steel, the more brittle it becomes, but with that hardness, you get incredible edges that last longer between sharpening sessions. Softer steel gives you a more durable (less brittle) blade and a nice sharp edge as well, but the knives will dull faster. At any rate, these knives are a great purchase, and they are also cheaper on this website than anywhere else. They will hold their own next to my other much more expensive knives, such as Kikuichi, Konosuke, and Takeda, to name a few.

    This Tojiro is the real deal. The balance is great, right at the front of the bolster. I love the relatively thin blade and light weight. Construction quality is high of all the knives that i received.

    The 8" Tojiro DP chef's knife is consistently reviewed as the best value in "entry-level high-end" chef's knives, and I agree. They were really good, just as I expected. Additionally, they offer very competitive prices for every product.
